The department of pharmaceutics was founded in July, 2003. Now the teaching staff consists of five professional teachers, including one associate professor and four lecturers. Among them, three have received their Ph.D, and the other two master’s degree. Dr Hao has also acted as supervisor of postgraduate and member of Shandong Pharmacy Association for Pharmaceutics.
Recently, the department of pharmaceutics mainly undertakes five curriculums，namely 《Pharmaceutics》《Industrial Pharmacy》《Pharmaceutics of Traditonal Chinese Medicine》《Biopharmacetuics and Pharmacokinetics》and 《Pharmacy English》， for undergraduate courses and junior college. Also the department of pharmaceutics is dedicated to training pharmaceutical postgraduates, and takes on the courses of《Modern Pharmaceutics》《New Formulaiton and New Technology for Drug》and 《Physical Pharmaceutics》for postgraduate.
The department of pharmaceutics focuses on teaching and scientific research. 《Pharmaceutics》and 《Pharmaceutics of Traditonal Chinese Medicine》are brand courses of Shandong province. And we take part in the co-edition of the two textbooks 《Pharmaceutics》《Pharmaceutical Excipient Application in pharmacy of TCM 》. The department of pharmaceutics implements 11 scientific projects such as one National Natural Science Foundation project, three National Natural Science Foundation projects of Shandong province and eight items of Bureau level programs derived from Shangdong province or Taian city, with in-account funds reaching to RMB 480,000 since the Twelfth Five-Year Plan.
So far, the staffs have published 68 papers publicly in the academic publication above the provincial level as the first author or corresponding author, among which 12 are SCI papers. And the department authorizes 3 invention patents up till now.
As for undergraduate education, the department of pharmaceutics guides 5 National Undergraduate Innovative Training Programs, and has been awarded the third prize in the seventh and ninth session of National student drug court Forum respectively.
